I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13 NLT
Hope
Hope is going to become an important commodity. Everyone looks at the tragedies around them and knows there must be an answer to it all. The only problem is that they are looking in all the wrong places. They look to their governments or to other nations. They look to one another or to themselves. Unfortunately none of these solutions will last because there is no way for them to be sustained. This will only lead to greater hopelessness.
Anarchy
When all the sources people look to for answer begin to fail them, it will ultimately lead to anarchy.
Just watch.
Many will think the only answer is to burn it all down and start over. This will only lead to greater internal conflict as people all think they have the best answers to the world’s problems.
Finding Hope
Hope can only be found in the Lord. People will never see it, however, unless they can see it in the Church, God’s people. When the racial and social divides are healed in the Church, people will see the possibility of a new and better world. The only way that will ever happen is for God’s people to obey His command and genuinely begin to love one another (See John 13:34 – 35). This will only be possible when we are genuinely living in the Reign.
