The various reactions you get when you announce that you are going to talk about the end times is nothing short of interesting. It can be anything from absolute terror to passive indifference.
I’m not sure which one is worse.
We get these varied reactions for a couple of reasons. For one, a lot of what we have been taught about the end of days is either misguided or flat-out wrong. For another, we have failed to see that the end times message is the story of God from the beginning right through to the end of the Book. God has never kept it a secret as to what He has been aiming for since He created the earth and man to inhabit it. We also find that the First Testament is a full-on preview of coming attractions that not only points to Christ’s first coming, but also to His second.
In this message, we go on a whirlwind tour that hits the highlights of what the Old Testament has to say about the end of days. I hope you enjoy it.

Understanding the end times message is truly critical to anyone intent on living in the Reign.
(Look! He is returning with the clouds, and everyeye will see him, eventhose who pierced him, and all the tribes on the earth will mourn because of him. This will certainly come to pass! Amen.)Revelation 1:7 NET
How do we prepare for the end times? While I have my doubts about the way some people are doing it, the Scriptures are pretty clear for anyone who will take the time to look…
2 For you know quite well that the day of the Lord will come in the same way as a thief in the night. 3 Now when they are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will surely not escape. 4 But you, brothers and sisters, are not in the darkness for the day to overtake you like a thief would. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 – 4 NET
Many live with the idea that the Lord Jesus Christ could return at any moment, suddenly and unexpectedly. But is that really the case? Read on and see what you think…
1 After these things I looked, and there was a door standing open in heaven! And the first voice I had heard speaking to me like a trumpet said: “Come up here so that I can show you what must happen after these things.” 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit, and a throne was standing in heaven with someone seated on it! 3 And the one seated on it was like jasper and carnelian in appearance, and a rainbow looking like it was made of emerald encircled the throne. Revelation 4:1 – 3
There is a certain perspective we need to have when thinking about the end-times. If we lose this perspective, we easily become lost in the wrong details and quickly become overwhelmed.
