Recently the Lord has been speaking to me quite a bit about walking in love. I am quickly learning that there is a lot more to it than one might think. This is something the Lord recently shared with me one morning as I sat with Him.
“Love is not always as easy as one might think at first. It has to make some tough decisions and then have the necessary courage to follow through. Yet love is the only way to stay close to Me. I AM love, and when you live in true love you are more like Me than at any other time.”
The more I read the New Testament and listen to the Lord, the more I realize that walking in love is one of the surest signs that we are really living in the Reign. What do you think?

My son told me a while back that real Love is a decision we make. It isn’t just an emotion. I was proud to hear him say that.
When we Love someone as a conscious decision then we realize that the emotion of it will come and go, but that doesn’t remove the Love. We must wake up every day and pursue Love. Love for our spouse yes, but more importantly Love for Christ and His mission.
As Christ told Peter when He asked him if he Loved Him, “Feed my sheep”. Real Love means decision and action. Jn 21:15-17

This indeed is an area in which lip service becomes obsolete. When I was growing up, I would always hear an adage that said, “I just love you to death”. I thought how could this be! For there is no victory or comfort or love for that matter in death. But as I matured I really got a revelation.
1 John 3:14 says, “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers. anyone who does not love remains in death.”
I chose love over death!
