In forty some years of preaching and teaching ministry, I don’t believe I have ever preached a message directly from the book of Ruth. I think Ruth is kind of a mystery to some people. While it is a beautiful feel-good Hallmark story, there doesn’t seem to be any real reason for it to be in the Bible (except maybe for the fact that it give some insight to the lineage of King David and the Lord Jesus Christ). However, there is something in the exchange between Boaz and Ruth in chapter three that gives us a wonderful insight into our relationship with the Lord. It helps us see what it really means to live under God’s wings.
The audio version is available at Sermon.net for you to download and enjoy as you go about your day.
There is also a study sheet available if that would help you follow along.
This message has meant so much to me. It has helped me enter into a whole new place of security in my walk with the Lord. That sense of security belongs to all of God’s kids who are living in the Reign.
Enjoy!
