Pray!

Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart. Luke 18:1 NRSV

Our Constant Refuge

Throughout life there will always be things that will come in order to distract us from the Lord. That is why the place of prayer must be our constant refuge. In prayer we can get our orientation back. Through prayer we are reminded that we belong to God., and that He is to be our one true focus. In prayer we can deal with those things that have tripped us up so we can once again walk with the Lord in confidence. In prayer we can also ask the questions that nag at the back of our minds and be on our way to receiving an answer.

Absolutely Crucial

Prayer is absolutely crucial. We must never let it be considered an option. It is our life-line to hang onto when everything else fails. Prayer is the one thing no one can ever take away from us. They can burn our Bibles, scatter our numbers, and cut out our tongues, but they can never keep us from praying. Therefore prayer must be our constant companion throughout all of life.

At All Times

When all else fails, pray. When all else succeeds, pray. When the darkness encloses, pray. When the light enfolds, pray. Pray at all times and in the midst of all things. Prayer must always and forever be our way of life while living in the Reign.I

  1. Thx for the reminder.  Must be on my plate because I’m hearing it in sermons and in my reading – even novels.  🙂  And it’s been a constant reminder by the Holy Spirit.
