One of the greatest indictments against the Church of Jesus Christ is that there is little, if any, difference between them and the people of the world. This indictment is not without merit. It doesn’t matter what we believe if that belief doesn’t affect the way we respond to life. That’s why we need to change our clothes. The apostle Paul addresses this in Ephesians 4:17 – 24.

Wearing the right set of clothes is crucial if we are to be seen as people who are genuinely living in the Reign.

Isn’t it interesting how so many want “the new life” in Christ; but don’t necessarily want to change a whole lot in their lives. Grace, (Holy Spirit) does His part; we have to do our part. We have to “allow” God to make changes, and then follow that. It does take staying in the word; reading, listening, etc., “hearing”; and a contrite heart of humility and desire to please God, to let these changes take place, and to see the value in even “changing your clothes”. I pray that peoples’ hearts (mine too) would long to live a life pleasing to God and be willing to make outward changes……….as the Holy Spirit works on the inside.
Amen!!
