Pollution

The goal of lust and pornography is to so pollute a person’s heart and mind that they are rendered incapable of walking with the Lord in any degree of certainty. They are a defiling presence that neutralizes a man or woman’s confidence in their relationship with Jesus. Those trapped by these things end up living in the distance rather than walking and living with the Lord in intimacy.

Radical Responses

Lust and pornography must be treated as public enemy #1. Just like all the resources of law enforcement are dispatched to track down and neutralize those considered to be a menace to society, a man or woman must use every means available to eradicate these spiritual enemies from their lives. It will take a radical repentance backed by radical action (Jesus likened it to removing body parts – Matthew 5:27 – 30). It will take a radical pursuit of a radical relationship with the Lord Jesus. No half measures will do. It will also take a radical commitment to community with God’s people to help sustain the other two commitments.

Dangerous Days

These are dangerous days. We must stay close to the Lord at all times. The only truly safe place is abiding continually in His Presence, living in the secret place of the Most High. It is a time for radically and intentionally living in the Reign.
